Maurice Cole has spent more than 50 years designing, shaping and refining surfboards in the pursuit of more speed, better performance and a better connection between surfer and board. Working alongside some of the world’s best surfers, every generation of MC design has been shaped by testing, feedback and a refusal to accept that the way things have always been done is the way they should stay.

The VeeCon4 is a new all around high performance board (short or long). It can be made in sizes from 5'8" to 9'6" and comes in a thruster configuration. It uses the Reverse Vee bottom curve with a more pronounced Vee in the nose, through to a concave to the fins and then a small Vee in the tail. It makes for an easy paddling board, easy take offs and very high performance.

    TOM CURREN

    In 1990 Tom Curren and Maurice Cole began a surfing/shaping relationship that resulted in Tom winning the World Title from trials to World Champion. Tom went on to win his first and only win in Hawaii on a logo-less, yellow railed board.

    Maurice shaped boards for Taj Burrow as the West Australian came through to become one of the most exciting surfers on the world tour. Taj's fast, above the lip surfing pushed Maurice's concave and rocker designs to go quicker and turn tighter.

    NOAH JOHNSON

    Hawaiian big wave charger Noah Johnson is at home in some of the heaviest waves on the planet. For the last 20 years he has worked hand in hand with Maurice, providing the feedback that shaped the Spiral Eev Gun.
